FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA (May 11th, 2015) – VIKAND is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Axel Flinder as the Director of Business Development. Axel is based in Oslo, Norway and will represent VIKAND’s growing operations in Norway and Northern Europe at large.

Axel will be responsible for developing VIKAND’s client base, identifying medical services needs and working with clients and industry associations to define ways VIKAND can cultivate new innovative solutions. He will be VIKAND’s representative in the Northern European market working within all sectors of the maritime industry, from Off-Shore and Energy to Commercial shipping and the Cruise and Ferry industry.
Axel is an experienced shipbroker who started his professional career in 1981 as a broker for Fearnleys in Oslo, Norway. He has held positions as general manager at Grieg Shipbrokers in Oslo, CEO for Sundbusserne in Helsingor, Denmark, and for the last four years held the position as sales manager for Wilhelmsen Ship Management, responsible for Scandinavia as well as Europe.

In his spare time Axel enjoys skiing and hunting. In fact he funded his college education as a ski instructor in both Park City, Utah and Norway as well as a trainer of hunting dogs in Norway.
