How it Works:

Collect a sample by swabbing the patient’s nose.
Place swab into the extraction vial.
Remove the swab by rotating the extraction vial to release the liquid from the swab, then discard the swab.
Close the vial with the provided cap and push firmly onto the vial.
Mix thoroughly by flicking the bottom of the vial.
Invert the extraction vial and hold the sample vertically above the sample well. Squeeze gently to allow three drops of the sample to fall onto the sample well.
The presence of two colored lines in the control line region “C” and test line “T” will indicate that the patient is positive.
The presence of one colored line in the control line region “C” and test line “T” will indicate that the patient is negative.

How it Works:

How it Works:

Collect a sample by swabbing the patient’s nose.
Dispense the reagent solution into the reagent tube and swirl until the reagent dissolves.
Place the patient’s sample into the reagent tube and roll it in the solution.
Leave the swab in the reagent tube for one minute.
Remove the swab and insert the pipette into the sample.
Collect the sample in the pipette and empty the contents into the test cassette sample well.
Insert the test cassette into the Sofia System to interpret the results.

How it Works:

The sample is taken from the patient’s nose or throat using a swab.
The sample is then placed into a test tube where it is mixed with a reagent.

Insert the cartridge and the test should begin automatically.
