In May, VIKAND and Navarino announced our partnership to provide innovative remote maritime healthcare. Navarino’s Infinity solution combined with high-speed connectivity brings OneHealth by VIKAND—our fully integrated maritime healthcare platform—to ship owners, captains, managers, and crew. Our partnership is rooted in seafarer wellness. Together, our innovations result in the safe and efficient operation of vessels made possible by innovative mobile connectivity systems paired with best practices for onboard health.

VIKAND—Please describe your company and industry reach.

Infinity’s success is the result of a continuous collaborative effort between us and our customers, resulting in a solution that is renowned throughout the maritime sector. 

Navarino also created the first fully managed cyber security solution for maritime, Angel, to ensure that our customers’ vessels can navigate and benefit from the maritime digital revolution in safety.  

In addition to these innovations, we have introduced a new IT-as-a-service concept, Quazar, into the maritime sector, allowing ship operators to fully equip their fleets with IT equipment for a single monthly fee, rather than CAPEX. Quazar subscribers are assigned a personal IT manager who supports and maintains their vessels daily.

Christian—Innovations in new satellite constellations launched in recent years have enabled new technologies to be used effectively at sea. Not so long ago, vessels had to rely on basic email functionality, but today, ships are able to access bandwidths that make them just an extension of their shore offices—with all the benefits and challenges that this brings with it. At Navarino, we combine our deep knowledge of satellite connectivity with our technological know-how to ensure our customers can get the most out of this digital evolution.
